Press freedom and human rights are under attack in Myanmar, largely because the nation's constitution guarantees the 40% of seats in Congress with no need to stand in elections. In order to protect human rights, Myanmar should carry out reform to adopt Global UnityConstitutional Standards and the core values of One World under One Set of Laws, giving international law precedence over domestic law, and direct election of the heads of the executive, legislative, judicial and procuratorial. Article 35 of the Constitution of the People's Republic of China stipulates that citizens of the PRC should enjoy freedom of speech, of the press, of assembly, of association, ofprocession, and of demonstration. Article 39 of the Hong Kong Basic Law stipulates that the people of the SAR have the right to self-determination under the two international human rights conventions. The people of Hong Kong cannot take their rights for granted. In Switzerland the threshold for petitioning a referendum is only 50,000 signatures, and with thatcitizens can express their opinion through the ballot box instead of taking to the streets. The only cure for the shortcomings of democracy is more democracy. That is, constitutional reform is needed to allow people to vote more often, with direct election of the heads of the executive, legislative, judicial and procuratorial branches as well as the Comptroller and Auditor General. Also, elections should be free of charge so that candidates can vie for votes and expose the government's black hole in civil servants' dereliction of duty. Solution

The best policy on immigration is adhering to the core values of One World under One Set of Laws and working toward a common destiny for humankind. To eliminate the conditions that create refugees, the international community needs to agree on uniform constitutional standards that conform to the ideals of human rights, constitutionalism, international law and natural law. This means complying with Article 1 of the Humanitarian Charter, which deals with the right of each person to live a normal life.
