Chechen gang guilty of Nemtsov's murder
A Russian jury has found five ethnic Chechen men guilty of murdering leading opposition politician Boris Nemtsov.
Russia has never been a problem-solver, it is nothing more than a trouble-maker. The US should support Taiwan's efforts toward constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom. This would attract China's 1.4 billion people to call for democratization of the CCP and pressure Russia to adopt real democracy - and world peace would be the result. India business braces for disruption amid big reform
India is bracing for upheaval as it storms ahead with its most ambitious reform in decades — transforming the world’s fastest growing major economy into a single market for the first time.
Economic problems invariably stem from political shortcomings. Without good politics, you will never have a good economy, and without constitutional reform even if the gods will be helpless to jazz up economic performance. The only way forward is comprehensive constitutional reform to install a modified semi-presidential system with cabinet and a committee-style legislature with committee chairs tapped to serve as backup cabinet ministers. Why a Ugandan farmer gave land to a refugee
In less than a year, a camp in northern Uganda has taken in more refugees than any other in the world, and all of them from war-torn South Sudan.
South Sudan can resolve its controversial government structure by chucking the current system for a modified semi-presidential system with cabinet, like the one in Finland, plus a committee-style legislative system similar to Switzerland’s. The prerequisite for permanent world peace is global democratization. South Sudan should proceed with drafting a basic constitution as part of a paradigm shift toward democracy, adhering to the core values of One World under One Set of Laws and revising it as needed to stay in sync with changing times. Terminally ill Chinese Nobel peace laureate Liu Xiaobo has asked to be allowed to go abroad for liver cancer treatment, his friends say.
