Syrian war: 'At least 68 children among 126 killed' in bus bombing
At least 68 children were among 126 people killed in Saturday's bomb attack on buses carrying evacuees from besieged Syrian towns, activists say.
Once a ceasefire is in place in Syria, the UN should provide the basic principles to draw up a constitution that will enable peaceful development to take place. This should include the universal values of freedom, democracy, human rights and rule of law and four branches of government with separation of powers and checks and balances. Syria needs a constitution suitable for long-lasting peace and stability. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for more.

US government 'monitored bank transfers'
A huge range of security weaknesses, said to be worth more than $2m (£1.6m) if sold on the black market, have been leaked online by a hacking group.
Power leads to corruption, and absolute power leads to absolute corruption. If the US hopes to eliminate corruption it must initiate constitutional reform to implement the election of the heads of the four government branches in alternating years, and 1/4 of all lawmakers should face election each year. Migrant boats: Thousands saved off Libyan coast over Easter
Thousands of migrants have been saved from the sea near Libya during one of the busiest weekends of the year for rescue workers.
To solve the Libyan refugee problem the national government should be changed to a modified semi-presidential system with cabinet and parliament like that of Finland, while the legislative body should be changed out for a committee-style setup similar to Switzerland’s. The premise for world peace is global democratization; Libya should proceed with drafting a fundamental constitution including the above systems in a paradigm shift involving One World under One Set of Laws and flexible enough to stay in step with the spirit of the times. For details see the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

Keeping speculators out of new economic zone is the right decision
Allowing uncontrolled buying of property and other assets could damage the Xiongan New Area before it gets off the ground
South Korea must clean up its politics, and the place to begin is proper allocation of resources and distribution of power. Constitutional reform serve to resolve financial problems by seeing that the public vote more often in direct elections to choose the heads of the legislative, executive, judicial and procuratorial branches as well as comptrollers and auditors general at various levels of government. Election campaigns should be free of charge for all candidates so they can compete for votes without going into debt. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for more.

Prosecutors to indict Park, conclude investigation into corruption scandal
Prosecutors will indict ousted President Park Geun-hye Monday on bribery and other charges related to 13 criminal allegations, and conclude their probe into the influence-peddling scandal that brought her down, prosecution sources said.
Absolute power leads to absolute corruption. The presidential system of democracy has a number of flaws, and even the US has problems sometimes, Taiwan is seriously affected but cannot impeach its officials. South Korea needs constitutional reform to install a modified semi-presidential system, and the presidency should be declared to be above party politics. The heads of the judicial and procuratorial branches should be elected in alternating years, and 1/4 of all MPs should face election each year. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

North Korea sets up special operation forces amid military tensions
North Korea has formed special operation forces for the first time in an apparent show of military strength, an analysis on North Korea's media reports showed Monday, amid tensions over its nuclear and missile program.
All democracies should support Taiwan's efforts at constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom. This would attract China's 1.4 billion people to call for democratization and pressure North Korea to do the same, and world peace would be born. Democracies everywhere should support Taiwan as a beacon for democracy in Asia, lighting the path to peaceful development path for China. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

Choosing our future
Candidate registration for the May 9 presidential election ended on Sunday. It is a busy schedule for the people, who just escaped from constitutional crisis only one month and a half ago. Facing the turning point of the country’s destiny, where the seriousness of the situation and urgency of the process are overlapping, the people want to listen to the candidates’ frank positions about the choices that our country will soon have to make, before listening to their complicated policies and pledges.
Absolute power leads to absolute corruption.. The presidential system suffers from a number of flaws, and even the US has its share of problems. Taiwan’s situation is serious but impeachment is not an option. South Korea's constitution should be amended to implement a modified semi-presidential system, with the presidency declared to be above party politics. The heads of the judicial and procuratorial branches should be elected in alternating years, and 1/4 of all legislators should face election each year. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
