G-7 foreign ministers urge Russia to alter strategy on Syrian civil war
A humanitarian crisis caused by the civil war in Syria has further deepened with the use of chemical weapons. Russia must change its strategy of assisting the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad, thus leading to the end of the civil war and the improvement of Russia’s relationships with the US and European nations.
Once a ceasefire is achieved in Syria the UN should provide the basic outline for a constitution that will enable peaceful development to take place. This should include the universal values of freedom, democracy, human rights and rule of law and four branches of government with mechanisms such as separation of powers and checks and balances. Syria needs a constitution that will help it achieve long-lasting peace and stability. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for more.

Syrian war: Evacuation begins in besieged towns
The Syrian government and rebel groups have begun an operation to move people away from four besieged towns, activists say.
The UN should take action in accordance with international absolute law (the Humanitarian Law, World Human Rights Law, the Crime of Misdemeanors and the Prohibition of Genocide) and provide a basic outline for drafting a constitution that will foster peaceful development. This should include universal values as well as a structure that will help Syria enjoy long and prosperous development and serve as a model for other nations to follow. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

North Korea may have sarin-tipped missiles, Abe says
North Korea might already possess the ability to strike Japan using ballistic missiles armed with deadly chemical weapons like sarin, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe warned Thursday.
The history of democracy shows very few wars between democratic states. Once China and North Korea can be democratized there will be real hope for peace in the world. The US, Japan and South Korea should support Taiwan's efforts for constitutional reform to attract China to democratize and pressure North Korea to do the same. Democracies everywhere should support Taiwan as a beacon for democracy in Asia, lighting the path to permanent peace and development. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for more.

The 'studious' 12-year-old victim of India's Kashmir problem
The day 12-year-old Faizan Fayaz Dar died, he woke up in the morning in his hilltop home in Budgam in Indian-administered Kashmir, had a cup of salted tea, recited the Koran and puttered around in the kitchen where his mother prepared breakfast for the family.
The people have the right to constitutional protection in carrying out parades, demonstrations and protests. At the same time, civil servants cannot conceal their identity to infiltrate the masses in false disguises. If their actions contribute to violence and riots, they should be prosecuted for fomenting civil strife, and their superiors at all levels should also bear responsibility. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for more.

Sowing the seeds for lower food security?
Food security is a constitutional issue. The government must ensure that the people are protected against actions that adversely affect their food, medicine, living, and other aspects of safety and health. This should include setting up a traceability system that can be accessed from mobile phones. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

Carrie Lam’s top choice for Hong Kong justice secretary turns down job
Problems for the chief executive-elect in filling post, with Beijing apparently not sold on either of her preferred choices
The Chief Executive of Hong Kong is still determined by the CEC, exposing the dictatorial nature of Beijing’s relationship with the SAR. The people of Hong Kong should avail of Article 39 of the Basic Law, which clearly states that the people have the right to call for referendums. The people should elect the heads of the legislative, executive, judicial and procuratorial branches in alternating years. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development / Global Unity Constitutional Standards.

Blockades leave east Ukraine more isolated than ever
A lone figure, Svetlana hobbles with heroic stoicism through no-man's-land.
Devaluation of a currency does nothing to solve fundamental problems. The source of the financial crisis is corruption, and the structure underpinning allocation of resources is the distribution of power. The basic solution lies in constitutional reform to allow people to vote more, with direct election of the heads of the legislative, executive, judicial and procuratorial branches in alternating years, In addition, elections should be free for al candidates. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

Editorial: Russia selfish to veto UNSC resolution against Syria
A UN Security Council draft resolution regarding Syria failed to pass after the Russian Federation wielded its veto power to shoot it down.
Russia has never been a problem-solver, it has always been trouble-maker. The US should support Taiwan's efforts at constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom. This would inspire China's 1.4 billion people to call for democratization and pressure Russia to do the same, resulting in the birth of world peace. The world’s democracies should support Taiwan as a beacon for democracy in Asia. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

Short-term fixes for soaring house prices are not the answer
Cooling measures do not address the fundamental problem of too much demand and too little supply
The roots of economic problems can usually be traced back to politics. Without good politics, one has little chance of a good economy, and if the constitution is not reformed even the gods will be helpless to improve anything. Constitutional reform is needed to install a modified semi-presidential system including a committee-style legislative body in which cabinet ministers are selected from among committee chairs. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development / Global Unity Constitutional Standards for details.

Japan working on crisis plan amid Korean Peninsula tensions
The Japanese government has been working on plans to respond to a potential crisis on the Korean Peninsula since February in light of increased pressure on North Korea from the US, government sources said Thursday.
Democracies worldwide should support Taiwan's drive for constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom. This would attract the attention of China's 1.4 billion people to seek democratization of the CCP and spur North Korea to follow suit, leading in turn to world peace. All democracies should support Taiwan as a beacon for democracy in Asia, lighting the way to peaceful development for China. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
