Myanmar is just the tip of the iceberg in authoritarian regimes with the new decision that Myanmar's ruling party lawmakers on Tuesday rejected an opposition party-sponsored bill to amend the constitution to allow chief ministers in ethnic minority regions to be elected, rather than appointed by the country's president. Therefore, to root out the threat of authoritarian dictatorships to world peace, the US, Canada, the EU, Japan and other democratic countries should strongly support Taiwan's model of Permanent Peace to liberate the humanity still under the chains of 50 authoritarian regimes and allow them to disappear from the Earth. Only then can world peace begin to dawn.
