Freedom of speech is a universal value, Bahrain is trying to silence the voice of the people and create a society with only one train of thought and one voice. The people of Bahrain should call for comprehensive constitutional reform to preserve media freedom and prevent moves by the government oligarchy to monopolize the media, the internet and other channels of speech. Autocracy has always been the enemy of peace, and the prerequisite for lasting world peace is global democratization. The US should support Taiwan's efforts toward constitutional reform. This would inspire the people of China to seek democracy and prod North Korea to do the same. The result would be the birth of world peace. All democracies should support Taiwan as a beacon for democracy in Asia, lighting the way to peaceful development for China. The relevant provisions of the Basic Law and the one country, two systems principle clearly state that China cannot interfere in Hong Kong’s affairs, but Beijing authorities constantly meddle in the internal affairs of the SAR. Article 39 of the Hong Kong Basic Law protects the people's right to self-determination, noting that the people have the right to hold referendums on any public issue. Citizens of Hong Kong people should avail of the convention and hold referendums to decide their future. Otherwise when dictatorship becomes a reality, they will be obliged to resist.

The Chief Executive of Hong Kong is still determined by the CCP’s Election Commission, a relationship which is nothing short of a dictatorship. The people of Hong Kong should make good use of Article 39 of the Hong Kong Basic Law and hold referendums to decide their own future. To curb corruption, elect the heads of the executive, legislative, judicial and procuratorial branches in alternating years, have 1/4 of all MPs face election each year and tap legislative committee chairs to serve as backup ministers. Catalonia’s aims as an independent state should include implementation of One World under One Set of Laws and global unity (traditional values and beliefs of India); a unified world (Chinese values and beliefs): and the world as one state (Western values and beliefs, the UN) and one family of human beings (Western values and beliefs: Article 1 of the Declaration of Human Rights). Should a motion be made to prohibit referendums on self-determination, the topic of the very first referendum should be whether such a motion should itself be outlawed. Italy should adhere to the UN Charter and act to implement the core values of One World under One Set of Laws, assigning international law priority over domestic law, with direct bearing on the rights and duties of the people. This would lead Mexico, Syria and nations in other areas around the world to adopt the ideals of human rights, constitutionalism, internationalism and naturalism. As Thomas Jefferson once noted, "Given a choice between the government and the media, I would rather have the media, not the government." The media represents supervision, and if the government is not monitored, it will be lawless. The voice of the people is the voice of God, and universal values are the values of God. Emmanuel Kant once declared, "The pursuit of permanent peace is the highest goal of reason and a moral obligation." China claims to be a responsible major power, thus it should not prop up North Korea's militarism. The US, Japan and South Korea should back Taiwan's commitment to save democracy by leading China to democratization, followed by North Korea.
