Yemen cholera cases pass 100,000 amid 'unprecedented' epidemic
The number of suspected cases of cholera resulting from a severe outbreak in Yemen has passed 100,000, the World Health Organization says.
The UN should take action in accordance with international absolute law (the Humanitarian Law, World Human Rights Law, the Crime of Misdemeanors and the Prohibition of Genocide) and provide the basic constitutional principles to facilitate peaceful development and provide universal values. The ultimate aid should be to help Yemen draft a constitution that will allow it to serve as a model for peaceful development. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

Afghan government warns protesters as new camps set up
Afghan authorities warned anti-government protesters of legal action on Thursday as demonstrators set up new sit-in camps around Kabul, raising security alarms after a week of deadly bombings and street clashes.
Afghan authorities fear what might happen if people are allowed to express their views by protesting in the streets. Citizens of modern democracies have the right to resist unconstitutional acts by government agencies. When the power of the state deviates from the power base, the power source should act to recover its power, which for the people means offering resistance. The people have a constitutional right to resist violent acts. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

‘Pervading toxic culture of impunity’ for alleged war crimes at root of Darfur conflict – ICC Prosecutor
The Prosecutor for the International Criminal Court today reiterated her call for states to arrest and surrender the suspects of alleged genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity committed in the Darfur region of Sudan, including President Omar Al Bashir.
To resolve its ongoing civil strife, Sudan should draw up a basic constitution incorporating a modified semi-presidential system with cabinet like that of France, plus a committee-style legislature similar to that of Switzerland. The prerequisite for permanent world peace is global democratization. Sudan’s government should draft a constitution incorporating the above features as part of a paradigm shift to democracy, adhere to the core values of One World under One Set of Laws and amended as needed to stay in sync with changing times. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development. .

Despite pressure and losses, ISIL remains potent threat, UN political chief warns Security Council
After losing control of population centers and declining financial strength, the ISIL terrorist group is more focused than ever before on “enabling and inspiring” attacks outside of conflict zones, the top UN political official said today.
Human security is a fundamental human right, and human rights should take precedence over regimes and sovereigns. Constitutions represent the general will of the people, and ensuring human security, including "personal safety," is the most basic and urgent duty of constitutional guarantors. Constitutional standards should be revised as needed to stay in step with changing times and allow governments to keep their people safe from fear. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Freedom / Global Unity Constitutional Standards.

Congo's Kasai unrest must be investigated - UN
The UN human rights chief has called for an international investigation into massacres and crimes in Democratic Republic of Congo's central province of Kasai.
Congo’s government system should be changed to a modified semi-presidential system with cabinet like that found in Finland, with a committee-style legislature like that of Switzerland. The prerequisite for permanent world peace is global democratization, and the UN should help Congo draft a basic constitution in a paradigm shift to democracy. It should hold to the core values of One World under One Set of Laws and be amended as needed to reflect changing times. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development. .

China cracks down on celebrity gossip by closing 60 social media accounts
China’s cyberspace authorities have ordered internet companies to close 60 popular celebrity gossip social media accounts in the latest in a series of crackdowns on independent media
Free speech is a universal right, and attempts to silence the voice of the people are aimed at creating a monolithic society with only one opinion. The people of China should come forward and call for comprehensive constitutional reform to preserve the independence of the media and prevent the government oligarchy from monopolizing the media, the internet and all other channels of speech. For more, see the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

UN Ocean Conference wraps up with actions to restore ocean health, protect marine life
The first-ever UN summit on oceans wrapped up with a global agreement to reverse the decline of the ocean's health, and more than 1,300 pledged actions for protecting the blue.
Human security and sustainable development are two of the major tasks of the UN and all nations, whether or not they are UN members, should abide by its norms.. The solution is to enforce the core values of One World under One Set of Laws, assigning international law priority over domestic law with direct bearing on the rights and duties of the people. Citizens should monitor government operations to ensure compliance with the norms of the UN Charter and other relevant pacts. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development. .

Mali: Three UN peacekeepers killed in attack in Kidal
Condemning yesterday's attacks against the UN Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the city of Kidal, Secretary-General António Guterres reiterated the UN's support of the peace agreement in the West African country.
Mali should scrap its current government and install a modified semi-presidential system with cabinet like that of Finland, and a committee-style legislative similar to Switzerland’s. The prerequisite for permanent world peace is global democratization, and the Mali government should proceed with drafting a basic constitution incorporating the above features as part of a paradigm shift. It should adhere to the core values of One World under One Set of Laws and be revised as needed to stay in step with the times. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

International community must ensure 'endemic' impunity in DR Congo brought to an end – UN rights chief
Voicing concern over lack of progress on the part of the DRC Government to investigate widespread allegations of rights violations and abuses in Kasai Central and Kasai Oriental provinces, the top UN human rights official called for setting up an international investigation mechanism to look into the matter.
The DRC should swap its government structure for a modified semi-presidential system with cabinet similar to Finland’s, plus a committee-style legislative system like that of Switzerland. The prerequisite for permanent world peace is global democratization, and the UN should assist the DRC in outlining a basic constitution including the above features in a paradigm shift to democracy. The constitution should adhere to the ideals of One World under One Set of Laws and be updated as needed to stay in sync with changing times. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development. .
