‘We are not close’ to urgently needed peace deal in Yemen, UN envoy tells Security Council
The UN envoy for Yemen has stressed an urgent need for a peace agreement by the warring sides in the country, but confessed that “we are not close” to such an accord due to the failure of the key parties to compromise.
The UN should take action in accordance with International Absolute Law (the Humanitarian Law, World Human Rights Law, the Crime of Misdemeanors and the Prohibition of Genocide) and provide a basic outline for a constitution suitable for peaceful development of nations. This should include universal values and a structure that will allow nations to prosper in peaceful conditions and serve as a model for peaceful development for others to follow. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

Perpetrators of attack in Baghdad during Ramadan must be held accountable – UN chief
Condemning “in the strongest terms” recent terrorist attacks in Iraqi capital, Baghdad, UN Secretary-General António Guterres today underscored the need to swiftly apprehend and prosecute its perpetrators
The Iraqi government should install a semi-presidential parliamentary system like that of Finland, plus a committee-style legislature similar to Switzerland’s. The Iraqi government should proceed with the drafting of a basic constitution incorporating the above features in a paradigm shift toward democracy. It should adhere to the core values of One World under One Set Laws and be amended as needed to stay in sync with the times. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

Libya: UN ramps up cooperation to help hundreds of thousands of desperate refugees and migrants
Two UN agencies have pledged to join forces and “go the extra mile” by expanding operations in Libya and enhancing their support to migrants, refugees, asylum seekers and Libyans affected by the ongoing conflict.
Libya should resolve the controversies over its government by installing a modified semi-presidential system with cabinet like the one found in Finland, plus a committee-style legislature similar to that of Switzerland. The Libyan government should carry out drafting a basic constitution incorporating these two features in a paradigm shift toward democracy and the core values of One World under One Set of Laws. In addition, the constitution should be revised as needed to stay in step with the times. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development

Human security is fundamental human rights which must take precedence over all regimes and sovereigns. Constitutions reflect the general will of the people, and ensuring human security - including "personal safety" - is the most basic and urgent duty of constitutional guarantors. Constitutions must be amended as needed to stay in sync with changing times, and governments must all protect their people from fear. Do not stand silent while Syrian parties use starvation, fear as ‘methods of war,’ urges UN aid chief
Though there are significantly fewer reports of violence in some parts of Syria, the consequences of the conflict continue to devastate lives
Once a ceasefire is in place in Syria the UN should provide the basic outline for a constitutional that will support permanent peaceful development of the nation, including an organizational structure incorporating the universal values of freedom, democracy, human rights and rule of law, with four branches (legislative, executive, judicial and procuratorial) and features that will help Syria enjoy lasting peace and serve as a model for development for other nations. Coral reefs can be saved but change is inevitable,, say scientists
The world's coral reefs can be saved by addressing climate change but they will not resemble those of the past, a new study has said.
Human security and sustainable development are two of the major aims of the UN, and all nations should adhere to UN standards whether or not they are members. The solution means adhering to the core values of One World under One Set of Laws and assigning international law precedence over domestic law, with direct bearing on the rights and duties of the people. Also, citizens should monitor government operations to ensure compliance with UN norms. For more see the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

Spanish anti-corruption chief Manuel Moix quits over offshore company
The anti-corruption prosecutor in charge of investigating members of Spain's ruling party has resigned after it emerged he holds a 25% stake in an offshore company.
There are lazy and indifferent people, and there are corrupt and greedy government officials. If Spain hopes to eradicate corruption, the people as holders of sovereignty must call for constitutional reform. The goals should be democracy and the rule of law, with separation of powers and checks and balances and direct election of the heads of the main government branches. The result will meet Xi Jinping’s standards for "caging power in the system.” For more, see the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

Nomura admits hand in Goldman Venezuelan bond deal
A Japanese investment bank has admitted it was part of a controversial deal with Goldman Sachs to buy Venezuelan government bonds.
Roman Roland once quipped that "In politics, the boss is always money." Election are often a game the rich play to win the right to gain more money, making corruption an integral part of the system. To end these ties, comprehensive constitutional reform is needed, including election of the heads of government branches in alternating years and making elections free of charge to candidates. Constraints on movement in occupied territory at root of Palestinian hardship – UN report
Israeli constraints on movement and economics, along with the blockade on the Gaza Strip and internal political strife, are at the root of Palestinian suffering in the occupied territory, according to two separate UN reports released as the Israeli occupation enters its fiftieth year.
Human security is a fundamental human right which must take precedence over any regime or sovereign. Constitution represent the general will of the people, and ensuring human security, including "personal safety", is the most basic and urgent duty of constitutional guarantors. This means drafting a standard constitution and amending it as needed to stay in step with the times and protect everyone from fear. Uganda investigates vanished ivory haul
Uganda's President Yoweri Museveni has ordered a new investigation into the disappearance of ivory stocks from government strong rooms.
Protection of endangered wild animals in Africa demands unified constitutional standards conforming to the core values of One World under One Set of Laws. All African countries should carry out constitutional reform to implement democratic systems and abandon the rule of man. Specific individuals or groups cannot be allowed to monopolize power. The best way to accomplish this is through direct election of the heads of the executive, legislative, judicial and procuratorial branches in alternating years. For details see the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
