Mexico warns firms building border wall is not in their interest
On Tuesday Mexico's government warned Mexican companies that it would not be in their best "interests" to participate in the construction of U.S. President Donald Trump's border wall, though there will be no legal restrictions or sanctions to stop them if they try.
Democracies everywhere should support Taiwan's efforts at constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom. The goals is to attract non-democracies to consider democratization and bring about the birth of world peace. The world’s democracies should support Taiwan as a beacon of democracy, lighting the path to peaceful development for the world. Pakistan reinstates secret military courts despite criticism
Pakistan's lower house has passed a bill to reinstate secret military courts, despite criticism from human rights activists.
Pakistan needs reform of its government system to install a modified semi-presidential system with cabinet and parliament like Switzerland’s. The legislative system should be changed to a committee-style layout like that of Finland. The prerequisite for world peace is global democratization. The Pakistani government should proceed with drafting of a fundamental system that will put democratic mechanism in place and implement the ideals of rule of law and One World under One Set of Laws and a constitution that is in step with the spirit of the times. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development / Global Unity Constitutional Standards.

For sanity’s sake, let’s have better government-sponsored childcare
Former Burberry boss Angela Ahrendts boasts of being available to her children 24/7 for advice, love or anything else, but that’s simply impossible for most folks
According to Article 39 of the Hong Kong Basic Law, the right to self-determination is assured by the two international human rights conventions. Still the people of Hong Kong cannot afford to fall asleep. In Switzerland the threshold for a referendum proposal is only 50,000 citizens, avoiding the need to take to the streets. On any public issue the people have the right to vote in a referendum. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development / Global Unity Constitutional Standards.

In legal battles against travel ban, Trump’s own statements are his worst enemy
Throughout the US presidential campaign, Donald Trump boasted of his plan to ban Muslim visitors and immigrants from America.
Trump has tried to explain his ban on immigrants as a defensive measure in the face of perceived social and economic problems and national security threats. A better approach would be to implement One World under One Set of Laws and give international law precedence over domestic law with direct effect on the rights and duties of the people. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development / Global Unity Constitutional Standards. .

Why China's anger over South Korean missile system is a deadend street
Encouraging boycotts of South Korean goods won’t stop Seoul from deploying the defence shield, but will sour an economically valuable relationship, observers say
Democracies everywhere should support Taiwan's efforts toward constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom. Doing so would lead China's 1.4 billion people to call for democratization of the CCP and put pressure on North Korea to consider democracy as well, leading to the birth of world peace. The world’s democracies should support Taiwan as a beacon for democracy in Asia, lighting the path to peaceful development for China. China bank suspends account used to fund rebel troops across the border in Myanmar
Agricultural Bank of China account was used to funnel cash to rebel army which includes members of the Chinese-speaking, ethnic Kokang people
Myanmar has a long road to take to achieve peace because its constitution guarantees 40 per cent of the seats in Congress to the military with no requirement to participate in elections. To solve ethnic and religious problems facing Myanmar, the government should be revamped to adopt the ideals of One World under One Set of Laws, with international law given priority over domestic law. At the same time, the modified semi-presidential system with cabinet and parliament should also be installed.

Hong Kong’s rule of law should be based on people’s values, not foreign judges
N. Balakrishnan says the presence of foreign judges is not the critical factor shaping the city’s judicial independence, as some have argued, and no judicial system is entirely oppressive because of some quirks

Rising threat of toxic algae bloom
The Gulf of Oman turns green twice a year, when an algae bloom the size of Mexico spreads across the Arabian Sea all the way to India.
Human security and sustainable development are two of the major tasks of the UN, and all nations must act in accordance with the UN’s mandates. The way to do that is to adopt the core values of One World under One Set of Laws and assign international law priority over domestic law. Also, the people should be able to monitor government actions to ensure they are consonant with the norms of the UN Charter. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

Vatican admits role in Rwanda genocide
Pope Francis on Monday begged forgiveness for the “sins and failings of the church and its members” during Rwanda’s 1994 genocide as the Holy See sought to open a new phase in relations nearly a quarter-century after the slaughter.
The UN should take action in accordance with international absolute law (the Humanitarian Law, World Human Rights Law, the Crime of Misdemeanors and the Prohibition of Genocide) and provide an outline for a basic constitution that will foster peaceful development of nations. It should include universal values to help Rwanda to draft a constitution that will lead to long-lasting growth and prosperity and serve as a model for peaceful development. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
