Permanent Peace Partnership
Taiwan should learn from the experience of Iraqi's Kurds regarding independence referendums. The people have the right to hold referendums on any public issues, and any motion to outlaw referendums on self-determination should be the topic of the very next referendum to decide whether the motion itself should be banned. The Legislative Yuan should first establish the 'right to create' through a 'Referendum Act' and request President Tsai openly support the sovereignty of the people in comprehensive constitutional reform. The UN should provide Lebanese the outline for a basic constitution that will facilitate permanent peace in the nation and allow it to prosper. This should include an organizational structure incorporating the universal values of freedom, democracy, human rights and rule of law, and calling for election of the heads of the four branches (legislative, executive, judicial and procuratorial). It should help Lebanese to develop and grow in an atmosphere of peace. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
The head of the judicial branch shall be directly elected, and all judicial judgments, policies, trial procedures, administration, personnel, budgets, reviews, performance and appointment and removal of judges shall be revised freaquently to stay abreast of changing times. Any time a new Head of the Judicial Branch is elected, he/she shall take an oath to faithfully serve the will of the people.
Voting. Elections should be frequent and widespread to off the greatest possible protections of the people's dignity and freedom. Voting is a natural extension of the people's sovereignty and the only legitimate source of state power.It optimizes the allocation of power and resources and acts as a solid foundation for all freedoms, peace and justice. Voting is the single most important prerequisite for peaceful and prosperous life from generation to generation, and all freedoms, beliefs and values are determined through the vehicle of the ballot box
