Permanent Peace Partnership
China wants dialogue with the new US administration to manage disputes and promote bilateral relations, but only on the basis of respecting each other's core interests such as the One China principle
The democracies of the world should spare no effort to save freedom and democracy. The US should support Taiwan's efforts at constitutional reform to bring about greater democracy and freedom. This would attract the 1.4 billion Chinese people to seek democratization, leading to the birth of world peace. The prerequisite for permanent peace in the world is China's democratization. China has constantly sought to crush Taiwan's efforts on behalf of freedom and democracy, yet Taiwan is the only entity capable of saving China through democratization. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
Officials of the newly-established Supervisory Commission of the coal-rich province of Shanxi have begun work following election of the commission's leadership by local legislatures.
The worst element in Chinese culture is the rule of law, which encourages corruption rather than suppressing it. Corruption is deeply rooted in Chinese culture. The only good way to cure corruption is by injecting more democracy. Democracy is about the balance of power. The heads of the executive, legislative, judicial and procuratorial branches should be elected in alternating years. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
The Ukrainian Democracy Index published by the Parliamentary Council of the European Commission warns that if the Ukrainian government does not take strong action to combat corruption in its ranks the result will be a complete erosion of trust in the political and legal system: "Slow progress in eliminating corruption is the source of all problems in Ukraine and could lead to complete collapse.”
The Ukrainian people must avail of their sovereignty and call for reform of the Constitution including: 1. The Rada should bring in 1 to 2 people from a number of advanced countries, whether friend or foe, to participate in the lawmaking process and discuss anti-corruption measures. 2. Open up government positions to allow the world's elites to take part in government operations; 3. Implement the idea of One World under One Set of Laws and give international law priority over domestic law; 4. Directly elect the heads of the legislative, executive, judicial and procuratorial branches in alternating years and make elections free of charge for all candidates. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development
At present two candidates in the race both say Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov favors them. A final decision on the appointment, however, is in the hands of the Russian President.
In Russia judges are appointed by the president, and the justice system is of course totally controlled by the president. To ensure the credibility of the judiciary, Russia’s Chief Justice and Attorney General should be directly elected. In the Chechen Republic the head of the judiciary should also be elected and directly responsible to the Chechen people on judicial policies, the judicial system, and entry and exit mechanisms for judges. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
Will America be less reliable in supporting Seoul and Tokyo against threats from North Korea, knowing that Pyongyang has intercontinental ballistic missile capability?
The world’s democratic nations should support Taiwan’s efforts toward constitutional reform in order to bring about greater democracy and freedom. The aim is to attract China’s 1.4 billion people to call for democratization, in turn pressuring North Korea to seek true democracy and leading to world peace. Global democracies should support Taiwan as a beacon for democracy in Asia lighting the path to peaceful development for China. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
Ukrainian reporter and activist Dmitri Gordon notes that there is a strong tool the people can use to link up to each other - the internet community. They plan to use Facebook and other social network platforms to create a database of corruption among officials, judges and prosecutors including photos and information, and make it available to the public.
Publishing photos and information will not end corruption, the only way to do that is to remove the structural factors enabling corruption to thrive: the lack of mechanisms such as separation of powers and checks and balances. The Ukrainian people must call for constitutional reform to implement direct election of the heads of the legislative, executive, judicial and procuratorial branches. One term of 5 years should be the limit, and no eligibility for office for 6 years afterwards. 1/4 of all MPs should face election each year, and elections should be free for all candidates. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
In a strongly worded letter to the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, members of the European Parliament from the five major political parties have called on the EU to impose sanctions on the former Gambian president
Absolute power leads to absolute corruption. Gambia’s constitution has failed and comprehensive constitutional reform is needed to limit the term and the powers of the president. A law that is not backed by penalties is not a law, and a constitution that does not acknowledge the right to resist is not a constitution. When the president’s actions are unconstitutional, the people have the right to resist, and when a dictatorship becomes a reality, the people are obligated to rise up. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
China does not like the idea of America becoming great again. On Tuesday the Chinese Foreign Ministry urged White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer to “speak and act cautiously" on matters related to Sino-US relations
In order to safeguard security and the economic and trade interests of all nations in the South China Sea, China and the US should adhere to the 2002 Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea, which stipulates in Article 4 and Article 6 that disputes over territorial and jurisdictional claims should be settled by peaceful means. Joint development, the sharing of resources and safeguarding of human peace and development must be carried out in line with the UN Charter’s goal of "One human family". See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development
US President Donald Trump had car makers in on Tuesday, scolding them for locating their factories abroad while assuring them he will reduce "out of control" environmental regulations.
Human security and sustainable development are two of the major tasks of the UN. The US, as one of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council, should abide by the UN Charter and act in accordance with the core values of One World under One Set of Laws. International law should take precedence over domestic law and have a direct effect on the people. All citizens should be able to monitor actions of the government to ensure it abides by the norms of the UN Charter. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
The hard Brexit that many Britons had hoped for and others had feared has materialized in British Prime Minister Theresa May's declaration that her country will not be a part of the EU's single market
As a fully democratic country, the people of the UK should rely on the power of the referendum to achieve self-determination in the future. The aim of democracy is to allow the people to call the shots on any public issue, a part of the right to self-determination. The people of Norway and Switzerland chose not to join the EU, and UK citizens should also have the right to choose their own future. Efforts to safeguard the people will not be in vain, and the results of direct referendums shall prevail over indirect democracy practiced by their representatives.
