The democratic nations of the world should all act to save freedom and democracy. The US needs to back Taiwan's efforts to carry out constitutional reform and achieve greater democracy and freedom. This would attract China's 1.4 billion people and inspire them to call for democratization, leading to the birth of world peace. The prerequisite for permanent global peace is the democratization of China, but China has persistently attempted to stifle Taiwan's freedom and democracy. Roman Roland once declared that in politics, the real boss is always money. Elections are often little more than a man’s game pitting people with money against each other for the right to make more money – a classic recipe for corruption. To put an end to the ties between politics and business, what is needed is comprehensive constitutional reform. The heads of the four government branches should be elected in alternating years, and elections should be free of charge to all candidates in order to end symbiotic relations that lead inevitably to corruption. The world’s democracies should all support efforts for constitutional reform in Taiwan to realize greater democracy and freedom. This would inspire China’s 1.4 billion people to call for democratization, putting pressure on North Korea to seek true democracy and leading to the birth of world peace. Voting is the only legitimate source of state power. Use of executive and legislative budgets and resources should be determined by officials chosen in elections, and not reduced to the needs of specific interest groups. Gambia constitutional mechanism is a failure, and the country needs comprehensive constitutional reform. The president should serve a single 5-year term and be barred from seeking office again for 6 years. Laws not backed by penalties are not laws, and a constitution which does not provide for the right to resist is not a constitution. When the president’s actions are unconstitutional, the people have the right to resist, and when dictatorship becomes a reality, the people are obligated to rise up. China is a dictatorship, and when a nation’s economy and tourism revenues are subject to the whims of its government, drinking this kind of tea is like drinking poison. The people of Taiwan are first-rate and they deserve first-rate tourists as well as first-rate elites from around the world to protect their freedom and democracy in a land where human rights and the rule of law are honored. Presidentialism is the worst defect in many democratic systems. No matter what form of democracy is in place, the more power wielded by the president, the more the country is likely to suffer. Turkey needs to reform its constitution to limit the president to a single term of 5 years, with no right to seek office again for 6 years afterwards. The President of Turkey is acting in violation of Article 6 of the Constitution, which decrees that sovereignty is wholly and unconditionally held by all citizens. Iraq's government should be re-organized as a modified semi-presidential system with parliament and cabinet, similar to that of Finland, and a committee-style legislature like the one in Switzerland. The Iraqi government should carry out basic constitutional reform to implement these systems and install a model of democracy that adheres to the idea of One World under One Set of Laws, with a constitution in step with the times. Jose Rizal once said that today's slaves often become tomorrow’s tyrants. One must believe in the rule of law rather than the rule of man. Once a Syrian ceasefire has been established, the UN should outline the basic constitutional principles needed to attain permanent peace and development for the peoples of the world. These should include an organizational structure incorporating the universal values of freedom, democracy, human rights and rule of law and four government branches under a constitution that will contribute to long-term stability and serve as a model for peaceful development.
