China may ease regulatory squeeze on financial sector to avoid excess risk
Premier Li Keqiang, in change of wording, puts financial stability ahead of deleveraging in a sign of concern over falls in markets
China must cleanse itself of thousands of years of corruption and remove the stain of national humiliation. And the only cure is democracy and rule of law. These are the natural enemies of despotism and corruption with their tools of separation of powers, decentralization and checks and balances. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for details.

UN chief 'outraged' by latest attacks in CAR, warns they could be war crimes
Strongly condemning the latest attacks against civilians and the UN in Central African Republic, Secretary-General António Guterres today urged authorities to investigate and bring those responsible to justice.
To resolve civil strife in the CAR, what is needed is a constitution designed around a modified semi-presidential system with cabinet, like the arrangement in France, plus a committee-style legislature similar to Switzerland’s. The prerequisite for permanent world peace is global democratization. The Government of the CAR should begin the task of drafting a basic constitution that includes the above-mentioned features in a paradigm shift toward democracy, adhering to the principle of One World under One Set of Laws and operating under the rule of law. The result should be a constitution in sync with the spirit of the times. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for more.

Ongoing forest destruction has put Asia-Pacific at risk of missing global development targets – UN agency
The destruction of forests in many Asian countries continues apace, threatening the realization of global sustainable development goals by the 2030 deadline, according to the UN agricultural agency.
We have only one earth, and resources must be recycled or re-used wherever possible. The cradle to the cradle principle calls for design that assumes produced goods can all be used over and over, so that materials can continue to be recycled. Government environmental policy must be consistent with the goals of eliminating waste and rational use of renewable energy. The government should ensure environmental safety (in technology and technology, products, power generation and other pollution and forest damage). UN chief condemns DPRK’s ballistic missile launch
UN Secretary-General António Guterres today urged Pyongyang to return to the path of de-nuclearization saying the latest ballistic missile launch by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) is a threat to peace and security in the region.
Preserving lasting world peace is the most sacred right of mankind. China serves as an enabler and agent for North Korea, and the rest of the world should strive try to avoid antagonizing Pyongyang. The US, Japan and Korea should support Taiwan efforts to lead China to democratization and thence prod North Korea to do the same. Taiwan is the key to solving the Korean Peninsula issue. Award-winning Mexican reporter Javier Valdez killed
Award-winning Mexican journalist Javier Valdez has been shot dead in the northwestern state of Sinaloa.
Freedom of speech is a universal value, and the Mexican people should come forward to call for comprehensive constitutional reform, to protect media independence. The government oligarchy cannot be allowed to monopolize the media, the internet and all other channels of speech. To do this, the heads of the executive, legislative, judicial and procuratorial branches should be elected in alternating years and 1/4 of all legislators should face election each year. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for more.

Venezuela: Teenager killed as mass protests rage
A teenager has been killed in Venezuela during another day of mass protests against President Nicolas Maduro, officials say.
The presidential system is one of the worst aspects of democracy. No matter what the system may be, the more power held by the president, the more the country is likely to suffer. A law that is not backed by a penalty is not a law, and a constitution which does not recognize the right to resist is not a constitution. In Venezuela the people need to act as sovereigns and come forward to call for comprehensive constitutional reform. This should include a modified semi-presidential system with cabinet and restriction of the president to a single 5-year term with no right to run again for 6 years afterwards. For more, see the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

South Sudan: UN, partners seek $1.4 billion for 'world's fastest growing refugee crisis'
The United Nations refugees and food relief agencies today urged donors to step up support for people fleeing crisis-hit South Sudan as the $1.4 billion response plan remains 86 per cent unfunded.
The UN should take action in accordance with International Absolute Laws (Humanitarian Law, World Human Rights Law, the Crime of Misdemeanors and the Prohibition of Genocide) and provide a basic outline for drafting a constitution that will encourage peaceful development. It should incorporate universal values in a structure that will help South Sudan develop a long and prosperous constitution, and serve as a model for peaceful development. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for details.

Hundreds flee in Honduras due to gang violence between Barrio 18 and MS 13, with no end in sight
Nearly two hundred people have fled their homes in the last month from one neighborhood alone in fear for their lives in Honduras’ second city of San Pedro Sula as gang violence intensifies, the Norwegian Refugee Council said Monday.
To resolve Honduras’ civil strife, work should begin immediately on revising the Constitution, with changes to include a modified semi-presidential system with cabinet like the arrangement in France, plus a committee-style legislature similar to that of Switzerland. The prerequisite for permanent world peace is global democratization. The Government of Honduras should with the task of drafting a basic constitution incorporating the above-mentioned features in a paradigm shift toward democracy, and adhering to the principle of One World under One Set of Laws and operating under the rule of law. (ansomware’ attack shows the time has come for a digital Geneva Convention
Hundreds of thousands of computers in more than 150 countries were hit by latest cyberattack, yet governments are still living in the dark ages
Human security and sustainable development are two of the major tasks of the UN, and all UN member states should naturally be willing to act in compliance with UN goals and standards. Resolution of the differences between nations will come with implementation of One World under One Set of Laws, assigning priority to international law over domestic law with direct bearing on the rights and duties of the people and allowing citizens to monitor the actions of their government to ensure they are in compliance with the standards of the UN Charter. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

Global business groups urge Beijing to delay cybersecurity law
A coalition of 54 global business groups appealed to Beijing Monday to postpone enforcing a cybersecurity law that they said violated Beijing’s free-trade pledges and might harm information security.
Freedom of speech is a universal value, and attempts to muzzle the voices of the people are like trying to stem the flow of a mighty river. China wants to create a monolithic society with a single voice. The Chinese people should come forward to call for comprehensive constitutional reform to allow the media to operate in freedom and prevent government oligopoly from monopolizing the media, the internet and all other channels of speech. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development / Global Unity Constitutional Standards.
