The prerequisite for permanent world peace is global democratization. Somalia’s government should proceed with drafting a basic constitution, incorporating a paradigm shift to implement a democratic model incorporating the principles of One World under One Set of Laws and the rule of law. The right of free speech is a basic human right, Article 39 of the Basic Law of Hong Kong states that the right to self-determination is guaranteed by the two international human rights conventions. The people of Hong Kong cannot take their rights for granted. In Switzerland the threshold for proposing a referendum is only 50,000 signatures, making it unnecessary to constantly take to the streets. The right of open access to the internet is a part of the right of free speech, a truly universal value, The people of Indian should come forward and call for comprehensive constitutional reform to ensure that the media will not be restricted of monopolized by the government oligopoly/ The media, internet and all communications channels must be free and open. The president should be limited to a single 5-year term and not permitted to run for office for 6 years afterwards. 1/4 of all MPs should face election every year and elections should be free for all candidates. But no matter what system, the greater the amount of power the president amasses, the more the people are likely to suffer. A law without penalties is not a law and a constitution which does not countenance resistance is not a constitution.
