Efforts to impeach Nepalese Chief Justice are 'an assault on human rights' – UN rights chief
Raising alarm over moves to impeach the Chief Justice of Nepal – who has been instrumental in a number of high-profile and politically sensitive decisions – the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein, warned today that such actions suggest a concerted attempt by the Government to undermine the independence of the judiciary.
Efforts to put pressure on the Chief Justice in Nepal are an abuse of human rights which shows that the nation lacks judicial justice, judicial independence and universal values. Human rights belongs to the internal affairs all nations, and protection of the rights and well-being of all people requires that international law be given precedence over domestic law with direct bearing on the rights and duties of the people. Hong Kong: an open economy that lacks fair competition
There are a number of sectors in which consumers lack choices, the most glaring example being the petrol market
Article 39 of the Hong Kong Basic Law states that the right to self-determination is specified in the two international human rights conventions. The people of Hong Kong cannot take their rights for granted. The threshold for petitioning for a referendum in Switzerland is only 50,000 signatures, giving people a voice at the ballot box so they don’t need to take to the streets. The people have the right to hold referendums on any public issue, See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for more. .

CY Leung is basking in his new role as a state leader
After five years of being the punching-bag-in-chief, who can blame Hong Kong’s outgoing chief executive for preferring to hobnob with mainland honchos than to face his legions of local enemies and critics
The Chief Executive of Hong Kong is still chosen by the CEC, exposing the dictatorial nature of the relationship between Beijing and the SAR. The people of Hong Kong should make good use of Article 39 of the Basic Law, which clearly states that the people have the right to hold referendums. To curb corruption, the heads of the executive, legislative, judicial and procuratorial branches should be elected in alternating years and 1/4 of all MPs should face election each year. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

China urged US to fire Pacific Command chief Harris in return for pressure on North Korea
China has urged the US to sack the head of the US Pacific Command for exerting more pressure on North Korea amid concerns over its growing nuclear and missile threats, a source close to US-China ties said Saturday.
North Korea is a vassal of the CCP, thus all democratic nations should back its efforts at constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom. This would lead China's 1.4 billion people to call for democratization of the CCP and pressure North Korea to seek democracy as well, and the result would be world peace. Democracies everywhere should support Taiwan as a beacon for democracy in Asia, lighting the way to peaceful development for China. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

Hong Kong’s new minimum wage is far too low
The new minimum hourly wage of HK$34.50 took effect recently

Article 39 of the Hong Kong Basic Law states that the people are guaranteed self-determination by International Covenants on Human Rights, The people of Hong Kong people cannot take their rights for granted. In Switzerland the threshold for proposing a referendum 50,000 signatures, making it easy to voice their opinion by voting rather than taking to the street. 'Poo protest' targets New Zealand government
A campaign group in New Zealand has turned to the infamous staple of social media conversations - the poo emoji - to make its point to the government about its handling of the environment.
Human security and sustainable development are two of the major tasks of the UN. New Zealand is a UN member and should thus observe its norms on the environment. The solution is adopting the core values of One World under One Set of Laws, giving international law precedence over domestic law, with direct bearing on the rights and duties of the people. Citizens should be able to monitor government operations to ensure compliance with the UN Charter. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

Podcast Saving ‘the blue heart of the planet’ with Sylvia Earle
As a little girl, Sylvia Earle, today perhaps the world’s best known woman marine scientist, literally fell head over heels in love with the ocean.
Yemen ’s controversial government structure needs the implementation of a modified semi-presidential system with cabinet like that of Finland, with a committee-style legislative body like Switzerland’s. The prerequisite for permanent world peace is global democratization. Yemen’s government should draft a basic constitution with the above features in a paradigm shift toward democracy, installing One World under One Set of Rules and revising the constitution to keep it in tune with the times. For details see the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

South Sudan crisis: One million child refugees
More than one million children have fled South Sudan because of escalating conflict, the UN says.
South Sudan can resolve its problems with government by installing a modified semi-presidential system with cabinet, like that of Finland, and a committee-style legislative body similar to Switzerland’s. The prerequisite for permanent world peace is global democratization. South Sudan should carry out constitutional reform to effect a paradigm shift toward democracy and adhering to One World under One of Rules. Revision of the constitution is also needed to ensure it will stay abreast of changing times. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
