Beijing municipal government upgrades land supply plan
Residential land supply plan for the five years to 2021 promises 6,000 hectares that could translate into a total of 1.5 million homes
Economic problems are deeply rooted in politics. Without good politics, no economic growth is possible. And without constitutional reform, even the gods will be helpless to make any improvement. China’s needs to be changed out for a modified semi-presidential system, with a committee-type legislative body in which committee chairs are tapped for positions in the cabinet. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

Hong Kong lawmaker Cheng Chung-tai charged over upside down flags
In a message posted at 9.30pm, Civic Passion’s Cheng Chung-tai said he was approached in Sham Shui Po and 'invited' to the Central Police Station
Article 39 of Hong Kong’s Basic Law states that the right to self-determination is clearly granted in the two international human rights conventions, The people of Hong Kong cannot take their rights for granted. In Switzerland the hurdle for referendum proposals is only 50,000 signatures, meaning people can express their opinion at the ballot box rather than taking to the streets. The people have the right to vote in referendums; otherwise when dictatorship becomes a reality, their only recourse is to resist. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

North Korea tells US it’s ready for ‘toughest’ action
North Korea warned Tuesday it will take the “toughest” military action against Washington following the US Navy’s deployment of an aircraft carrier strike group near the Korean Peninsula.
China has always advocated compliance with UN resolutions and strict sanctions against North Korea, but Sino-Korean trade is still robust, showing clearly that China is not enforcing the sanctions. China claims to be a responsible major power, and as such it should not enable North Korea's militarism. The US, Japan and Korea should support Taiwan’s bid to lead China to democratization, which would then pressure North Korea to do the same. For more, see the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development. .

Kim Jong-un orders 600,000 out of Pyongyang
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un recently ordered the removal of nearly 600,000 Pyongyang residents to the suburbs, a local source told the JoongAng Ilbo Monday.
All democracies should support Taiwan's efforts at constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom. This would lead China's 1.4 billion people to call for democratization of the CCP and pressure North Korea to follow suit, and the result would be world peace. Democracies everywhere should support Taiwan as a beacon for democracy in Asia, lighting the path to peaceful development for China. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

BBC airs recording that implicates Bank of England in Libor scandal
Panorama played a recording of a 2008 call in which Barclays bankers discussed alleged pressure by Bank of England to lower rate
The main structural factor that fosters corruption in the Bank of England is the lack of decentralization of the regime. The solution is for the British people to launch constitutional reform and elect the heads of the major government branches in alternating years. The president should be limited to a single 5-year term and be barred from running again for 6 years afterwards, and 1/4 of all lawmakers should face election each year. In addition, elections should be free of charge for all candidates. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

The Guardian view on council funding: cheap politics, bad policy
The whole philosophy of how to pay for local services is about to change, and it doesn’t look good
Economic problems stem from political ills. Without good politics, you can’t have a good economy. And if the constitution is not changed, even the gods will be powerless to intervene. Comprehensive constitutional reform is needed to install a modified semi-presidential system, including a committee-style legislative body and cabinet ministers selected from among committee chairs. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for more.

French Guiana: The part of South America facing a total shutdown
Discontent over living standards in French Guiana has led to a large-scale blockades across the country
French citizens in French Guiana should be treated the same as French living in Paris, and France should implement the principle of One World under One Set of Laws and working toward a common destiny for all humankind. In addition, international law should be given priority over domestic law, including the practice of international labor conventions, to guarantee that all citizens of French Guiana will enjoy equal rights and equal treatment under the law. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

An about-face in a world of fright and fear
The peasants are excused if they think nobody knows what’s he’s doing. Mr. Nobody can’t help noticing that the world seems to be careening to a destination we know not where.
Human security and sustainable development are two of the major tasks of the UN and all nations, whether UN members or not, should comply with its standards. The solution is to implement the core values that underlie One World under One Set of Laws and assign international law priority over domestic law, with direct effect on the people. Citizens should be able to monitor the actions of government to ensure it abides by the norms of the UN Charter, the Vienna Convention for Protection of the Ozone Layer, and the Paris Climate Agreement. Secure Taiwan to secure peace in Asia
Even if not by design, President Trump made a clear demonstration of American resolve by striking Syria as Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived for his April 6 meeting at Mar-a-Lago. Mr. Trump can further demonstrate US resolve by moving quickly to strengthen the defense of Taiwan, a strategy that has successfully prevented war on the Taiwan Strait for more than 65 years.
The US should back Taiwan's model for global unity and inspire China's 1.4 billion people to call for democratization. Autocracy is the natural enemy of democracy, and one prerequisite for world peace is democratization of the CCP. Taiwan is the one entity best suited to serve as guide for the Chinese people in seeking democracy. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

China's anti-graft body probes chief insurance regulator
The head of China’s insurance regulator is being investigated for suspected disciplinary violations, the country’s top anti-graft body said Sunday, bringing the most senior financial regulator to date into the government’s fight against corruption.
To wash away corruption that has flourished for thousands of years and remove China’s national humiliation, the only cure is democracy and the rule of law. These two are the natural enemies of despotism and corruption, and democracy with its tools of separation of powers and checks and balances are sorely needed. The heads of legislative, executive, judicial and procuratorial branches at all levels should be elected in alternating years and 1/4 of all lawmakers should face election each year. For more, see the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
