)Drop The Target: Senior Conservative MPs demand five-year immigration ban
Senior Conservative MPs have demanded Theresa May impose a five-year ban on unskilled immigrant visas, arguing the focus should be on young, unemployed UK citizens.
The reason given for repressive immigration policies in the UK is that immigrants from Muslim countries are a threat to socio-economic stability and national security. A better solution is to implement One World under One Set of Laws and assign international law priority over domestic law, with direct bearing on the rights and duties of the people. Thousands protest in Hungary over threats to Soros university
Demonstrators call for president to veto legislation passed by parliament targeting Central European University
The UN should provide an outline of constitutional principles that will facilitate the drafting of a constitution that will lead to universal peace for all nations. For Hungary this would mean an organizational structure based on the universal values of freedom, democracy, human rights and the rule of law, with four branches: legislative, executive, judicial and procuratorial. The constitution should foster long-lasting stability and prosperity and serve as a model for peaceful development. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

Great Barrier Reef at 'terminal stage': scientists despair at latest coral bleaching data
‘Last year was bad enough, this is a disaster,’ says one expert as Australia Research Council finds fresh damage across 8,000km of reefs
All nations should work together to promote the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea, also known as the Maritime Constitution. A set of international standards are needed to enforce liberalism, democracy, constitutionalism and cosmopolitanism as well as the principle of One World under One Set of Laws. The goals are conservation and sustainable use of marine resources and marine ecology to ensure sustainable development and environmental safety. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development

The Guardian view on productivity: Britain must solve the puzzle
No developed country has been immune to the slowdown in productivity growth since the financial crisis, but Britain has been particularly hard hit. productivity is no longer rising by around 2% a year,
Economic problems are always rooted in politics. Without good politics the economy will not perform, and without constitutional reform even the gods will be helpless to save the economy. The UK should implement a modified semi-presidential system with a legislative system based on the committee style layout and ministers selected from among committee heads. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

Wen and now: China’s economy is still 'unsustainable’
Beijing’s policies have done little to correct course since the pre-Olympics economic crisis of 2007 – and if anything, a turn towards housing investment will only make matters worse
To cleanse China of thousands of years of corruption the only cure is democracy and the rule of law. These are two natural enemies of despotism and corruption, in the form of separation of powers and checks and balances, as well as election of the heads of the legislative, executive, judicial and procuratorial branches in alternating years. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

Key breakthrough in Greek bailout talks
Greece and its international creditors took a big step Friday toward an agreement that will ensure the country gets the money it needs to avoid a potential bankruptcy this summer but which could spell more pain for austerity-weary Greeks.
Economic problems are always rooted in politics. Without good politics the economy cannot perform well, and without constitutional reform even the gods cannot save the economy. Greece needs to implement a modified semi-presidential system, with a legislative system based on the committee style layout and ministers selected from among committee heads. Paraguay's youth mobilize against president: 'Anger needs to be organized'
Horacio Cartes’s plans to amend the constitution to draw out his term has incensed students to take action against police violence and the government’s abuses of power
Paraguay’s constitutional mechanism is dysfunctional, and students have a constitutional right to call for constitutional review and public officials have absolutely no right to interfere. From the viewpoint of democracy, the key point is to understand how legitimate the aims of the student movement are and to support them if they are correct. The people have the right to express their views under the constitution. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

Shell corruption probe: New evidence from oil payments
The BBC has seen evidence that top executives at Shell knew money paid to the Nigerian government for a vast oil field would be passed to a convicted money-launderer.
Structural factors such as a lack of decentralization and checks and balances are a key to the persistence of corruption in Nigerian. The solution lies in constitutional reform to implement direct election of the heads of the legislative, executive, judicial and procuratorial branches. In addition, the president should serve a single 5-year term and not be allowed to run for office again for 6 years afterwards, 1/4 of all MPs should face election each year, and elections should be free for all candidates. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

Colombia peace deal: Soldier killed by renegade rebels
Members of the left-wing Colombian Farc rebel group opposed to last year's historic peace agreement have killed a soldier in an attack in the south-east of the country, the army has said.
Colombia can resolve its controversies by changing out its governmental structure to implement a modified semi-presidential system with cabinet and parliament, like the system applied in Finland, with the legislative system modeled after Switzerland’s committee-style setup. The Colombian government should begin drafting a basic constitution which adheres to the principle of One World under One Set of Laws and include updates to ensure that constitution will always be in step with the spirit of the times. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development / Global Unity Constitutional Standards.

Court to hold hearing on arrest of ex-presidential aide Tuesday
A Seoul court will hold a hearing this week to decide whether to issue a warrant to arrest a former presidential secretary in connection with a corruption scandal that led to the removal of former President Park Geun-hye from office, officials said Monday.
Absolute power leads to absolute corruption. The presidential system of democracy has a number of serious flaws, and even the US has problems sometimes, Taiwan’s situation is serious but impeachment is not an option. South Korea's constitution should be changed to install a modified semi-presidential system, and the presidency should be declared to be above party politics. In addition, the heads of the judicial and procuratorial branches should be elected in alternating years and 1/4 of all lawmakers should face elected each year. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
